February 5th, Exodus 10-12: Pharaoh lets the Israelites go

The plagues continue as follows:

8. Locusts
9. Darkness
10. Firstborn killed

By this time, Pharaoh’s officials were urging, pleading with their king to let the LORD’s people go. But the LORD hardened his heart, steadfastly refusing to let the Israelites go.

It was only after the Israelites celebrated their first Passover that the Pharaoh finally relented.

Exodus 12:31-32 says:
31 During the night Pharaoh summoned Moses and Aaron and said, “Up! Leave my people, you and the Israelites! Go, worship the LORD as you have requested. 32 Take your flocks and herds, as you have said, and go. And also bless me.”

Funny how the Pharaoh asks them to bless him after all the grief he has given them.

The length of time the Israelites lived in Egypt was 430 years. And now the LORD has brought them out of Egypt, with instructions that no uncircumcised male may eat of the Passover. All the Israelites followed Moses and Aaron, and on that day the LORD brought out the Israelites from Egypt.

Question: How many times does the LORD warn you of something before you listen? Have you ever looked back at realized that your heart had been hardened at one time?
