Obligatory Beginning Post

January 17, 2011 Leave a comment Go to comments

Typically, every blog’s first post seeks to explain why the blog was created in the first place.  I shall not deviate from the pattern here.

I’ve maintained other blogs before, but soon enough they became an interminable chore to upkeep.  What makes this one different?  Well, this one will be recording the thoughts on my daily Bible readings and other spiritually leaning cogitations. Churchwide at the Eastside Baptist Church of Fort Smith, Arkansas, we are doing a Chronological Bible Study.

I’m a little behind as I didn’t get my copy until just this past Sunday, but I’m planning to catch up by February 1st.  This gives me time to figure out my writing style and the visual look of this journal.

I’ve decided to title my journal “Polishing Rough Thoughts” because I will be going with as little editing as possible. Usually when I blog, I proofread three or four times. However, God has revealed to me that I tend to edit out myself on these passthroughs. He wants my raw ideas, just polished up for others to read. So here they come, my fine friends.

May the good Lord bless this endeavor!
